FAQs

1. IVE HEARD THAT THE Input Volume FaderS ARE GOOD FOR SCRATCHING, BUT ARE NOT AS SUITED FOR BEATMIXING. IS THIS TRUE?
Some DJs have had this opinion, and have only used for the PMC 07PRO for turntablist applications. Other DJs have used the CF-05PRO crossfader as Crossfader Input Volume Faders due to their smoother curve. However, using these crossfaders as Input Volume Faders will disengage the curve and reverse features. The recent release of the IF-07PCV fader offers a much more suitable curve for beatmixing and fades when the curve pot is set to this position. It also allows for full use of the curve and reverse features for each channel, as well as the extra durability.

2. WHAT IS THE SESSION INPUT FEATURE FOR?
This is used to connect multiple DJ set ups together easily. The output of the first set-up in the chain is connected to the session input of the second, the output of this mixer is connected to the session input of the third, and so on. This is what enables DJ groups such as the Invisibl Skratch Piklz to perform with total control over each section of the music.

3. CAN I CHANGE THE DIRECTION OF THE PHONO / LINE SWITCHES?
All of the Vestax PRO series feature 8-way selectable input select switches. These can be changed underneath the top panel with a phillips head screwdriver.

4. I NEED A BOOTH OUTPUT CONTROL TO BE ABLE TO USE THE PMC 07PRO IN A CLUB CONSOLE WITH A DJ FOLDBACK SYSTEM. IS THIS POSSIBLE?
The two master outputs on the PMC 07PRO are wired in parallel. In order to obtain separate output controls, a small switching box with level controls or a 2 channel line mixer would need to be added to the console.
